Epicuren Experience

The Gwen Hotel in Chicago offers a unique Epicurean Experience that transports guests to the heart of the Prohibition era. Visitors are invited to a captivating storytelling session that brings to life the rich history and dynamic culture of 1920s Chicago. Through immersive narratives and sensory cues, guests gain a deeper appreciation for this transformative period—experiencing firsthand the world Gwen Lux herself may have encountered during the Roaring Twenties.

This experience takes place daily at 2 pm in the lobby. Please see the Concierge for more details.

Destination Discovery Tour

The Destination Discovery Tour is a curated experience showcasing the artistic vision and inspirations behind The Gwen, drawn from our muse—Gwen Lux, a pioneering female sculptor of the 1930s. Led by our concierge, the tour begins in The Gwen’s lobby, highlighting original art pieces, including Gwen’s commissions and the striking “Unfinished” sculpture by Deborah Moss. Guests will also visit the historic McGraw-Hill panels in The Shops at North Bridge and stroll along Michigan Avenue to view the sculptural replicas that adorn The Gwen’s iconic facade.
